The Beginning of My Weight Loss Journey

Hi guys! So I started working out 2 weeks ago and I have decided to completely hold myself accountable and share my fitness experience with you for a few reasons.  If I hold myself accountable, then I have to provide updates all the time so this gives me motivation to not miss a day of working out.  If I don't miss a day, then I will see results.  If I see results and share them with you, then maybe I can motivate you on your fitness journey. I have done this in the past and it has helped me tremendously and my results were great! That being said, I would like to tell you guys that my goal is to lose 20 lbs by the end of June.  Before my pregnancy I had lost 15 lbs in about two months so I'm giving myself a bit more time to lose this weight.  I will be posting updates to let you know how I am doing and if you comment or have any questions I will answer them.

Results so far:

Final Pregnancy weight: 185 lbs
Postpartum weight: 160 lbs
Current weight: 155 lbs
Goal weight: 135 lbs

I do at home workouts and I have changed my eating habits again.  I have reduced the amount of fast food I eat.  I eat more fruits, vegetables, and I try to stay away from too many carbs.  I still eat approximately 400 calories extra a day because I am currently breastfeeding. When I say 400 calories extra, I mean I have one or two extra healthy snacks a day (sliced fruits or vegetables with hummus).  I do not count every single calorie from each meal, but I do estimate them. I have small containers from the 21 Day Fix program (a home workout program) that help me do this.  These containers have really helped me control my portions at every meal. I also have been drinking tons of water.  This helps with both my breastfeeding and weight loss journey.

This is the beginning to my commitment of showing the good, the bad, and the ugly:

Postpartum Weight 160 lbs
Day 1

I have lost 5 lbs in two weeks and I'm feeling better already.  I have a long way to go, but I'm taking it day by day and I'm not rushing to get to my goal.
