My 10 Breastfeeding Essentials

My 10 Breastfeeding Essentials:
  1. Nursing Pillow-Nursing Pillow - You will need this to rest your arms and baby on it. It will help keep you straight up while breastfeeding so you don't put too much pressure on your back.
  2. Nursing Cover Nursing Cover - I use this all the time when I go out or when I have people over. It's cute, affordable and covers up perfectly.
  3. Nursing Pads (washable) - I like the washable ones because you can wash and reuse them, but if you have a lot of milk supply then I wouldn't recommend them because the pads will soak up the milk and goes through your shirt.  If you have a lot of milk then I would recommend the disposable ones.
  4. Nursing bra H&M Nursing Bra - I love using this bra because it is so easy to nurse with and it's affordable.  The clips on each side make it easy and comfortable to feed the baby.
  5. Lansinoh-  Hands down best cream I used for sore nipples! I know this might be TMI, but as a first time mom I have learned that breastfeeding is not easy or comfortable at first.  It is hard and painful and you will need something to relief the pain.
  6. Medela Pump In Style(R) Advanced Starter Breastpump- Best pump I have used! I highly recommend this pump because it really pumps smoothly.  I have no problem pumping enough milk out.
  7. Kiinde Starter Kit- I previously reviewed this product and I definitely recommend this for anyone that is either going back to work and needs a storage system or anyone that just needs to pump and store a few bottles for those nights out.
  8. Tank tops - Tank tops have been my holy grail! I wear one under all my shirts because it is just easier to lift my shirts up and feed my baby without showing my body. It is also comfortable to be in around the house.
  9. Lacation cookies Milkmakers Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Lactation Cookies- My nurse had recommended this to me when my milk supply was low and I loved them! They taste really good and they seem to help me.
  10. Milkmakers tea Lactation Tea - Coconut Flavor-  My nurse recommended a lot of water and this tea to help my milk supply. After doing both, the lactation cookies and the teas, I did notice an increase in my milk supply.
Breastfeeding can get overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of it you will love it!  Good Luck! Hope this helps you.

Note: This post is NOT sponsored in any way.  This is only my opinion about these products because I personally use them all the time.
